Eficiência de fungos ectomicorrízicos no crescimento do eucalipto a partir de mudas clonais inoculadas; Efficiency of ectomycorrhizal fungi on the growth of Eucalyptus from clonal seedlings inoculated
A colonização ectomicorrízica nas plantas de eucalipto ocorre naturalmente e aumenta na medida do estabelecimento da planta no campo.; The inoculation of ectomycorrhizal fungi on seedlings can increase the sustainability of the commercial eucalypt plantations. This study evaluated the efficiency of inoculation in nursery clonal seedlings with mycelium of ectomycorrhizal impregnated in alginate gel on the growth of seedlings in the nursery and after planting in the field. First experiment was conducted in a randomized block in a factorial 2 x 5, with eucalyptus clones GG100 and GG680 inoculated with Pisolithus microcarpus, Hysterangium gardneri and Scleroderma areolatum and grown in a substrate with reduction of phosphorus fertilization and controls non-inoculated with (Controle) and without (Comercial) reduction of phosphorus fertilization in the nursery. In the second experiment, seedlings produced in the previous experiment were planted in the field to assess growth and colonization for one year. The seedling survival was not influenced by inoculation or by the reduction of phosphorus fertilization. At 120 days and in general for the two clones, height, diameter, dry weight of shoots, total dry matter and frequency of maximum grades for formation of clod of the roots of seedlings inoculated with P. microcarpus were greater than those of the Controle, and equals to the Comercial. The percentage of colonized tips roots were low for all fungi and not associated with the growth promotion. The inoculation or reduction of phosphorus fertilization only influenced the levels of Ca, Fe, Cu and Mn in shoots of seedlings. The seedlings were planted in sandy soil previously cultivated with eucalyptus. The survival rate was 100% only for plants inoculated with P. microcarpus and the plants of the Comercial, in both clones. At two months the plants inoculated with P. microcarpus were larger than the other inoculated plants and of the Controle, and stem diameter of the plants inoculated with H. gardneri and P. microcarpus were equal to the Comercial. At four months, the inoculated plants were already equalized with of the Comercial. The differences in height and diameter disappeared at ages six and 12 months after planting. At six months, the average percentage of the two clones colonized tips was greater in plants inoculated with S. areolatum, followed by those inoculated with P. microcarpus and those of the Controle. At 12 months the percentage of root tips colonized was similar in all treatments and was on average was 4.3 times greater than that observed after six months. The ectomycorrhizal fungi evaluated were not efficient in colonizing the seedlings in the nursery. The inoculation of the vegetative mycelium of the fungus P. microcarpus contributes to the growth of seedlings with reduced phosphorus fertilization in the nursery commercial. The efficiency of the inoculant is dependent in promote the benefits conveyed fungus. Inoculation of seedlings in the nursery did not promote further growth in the field after planting. The low colonization obtained in the nursery and the origin of the fungi, different from the experimental site, help to explain the lack of benefits of inoculation in the field. The ectomycorrhizal colonization occurs naturally in eucalypt plants and increases according the establishment of the plant in the field.

Santos, Marcone Moreira
; The study aimed to, morphologically characterize fruits, seeds and seedlings of Terminalia fagifolia and Terminalia argentea and evaluate the physiological quality of seeds and develop a method for micropropagation for both species. For morphological, 100 and 100 fruit seeds, including features such as color, texture , length , width and morphological structures were evaluated were sampled . Moisture was determined by oven method at 103 ° C ± 2 . Germination was carried out in a germination chamber BOD using type Gerbox ( 15x15 cm ) boxes containing sterilized sand and distilled water with a temperature of 30 ° C and 16 h photoperiod . , Scarification on Emery , PA scarification with sulfuric acid for 5 minutes, immersion in boiling water for 5 minutes , and soaking in water at room temperature for 24 hours Control : The following treatments to break dormancy were tested. The moisture and germination were performed on freshly harvested and 2 , 4 and 6 months of storage in cold camera seeds . For disinfestation were mounted four experiments . At first, the seeds of T. fagifolia were washed, scarified in sulfuric acid for 5 minutes and then immersed in 70% alcohol for 30 seconds and, subsequently , in a solution of sodium hypochlorite 5 % with added 4 to 5 drops of Tween 20 per 100 ml of solution. Immersion times of 5 , 10, 15 , 20 and 25 minutes in a sodium hypochlorite 5 % , which constitute five treatments were used. In experiment II, the procedures were similar to those described in experiment I, differing with respect to treatments. Immersion times of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes in a solution of chlorhexidine gluconate to 5 mgL - ¹ were tested. In the experiments III and IV, T. argentea, the procedures were similar to the experiment, however, in Experiment IV, the seeds were removed from their integument. After desisnfestação seeds were inoculated and test tubes with 10 ml of MS medium. In the multiplication phase, for the first subculture, seedlings of T. argentea obtained in the previous step experiment IV were segmented and their nodal segments were inoculated in MS medium plus 0.03 mg L - ¹ and BAP at concentrations of 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 , 0.4 and 0.6 mg L- 1. For 1 and 2 subcultures , shoots originating from the initial subculture and 1 , respectively , growing axillary buds were inoculated into test tubes containing 10 ml of the basic culture medium added 0.15 mg L- ¹ BAP and 0.03 mg L- ¹ NAA. For rooting , the plantlets subculture of 2 longer than 2 cm were inoculated in studies containing 10 ml of MS medium supplemented with 0 , 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0 mg L - ¹ IBA . Generally, the storage time and the pre- germination treatment did not affect the germination of T. fagifolia . T. argentea storage for two months and immersion in water for 24 hours resulted in the highest germination percentages. For in vitro disinfection with sodium hypochlorite and chlorhexidine gluconate were not effective to promote decontaminating seeds, however, the removal of the seed coat and soaking the seeds for 25 minutes in a solution of sodium hypochlorite at 2.5% proved to promote efficient disinfection and germination in vitro of T. argentea. In the multiplication phase the addition of 0.15 mg L - ¹ BAP favored the emergence of shoots in nodal segments of T. argentea while the addition of 4.0 mg L - ¹ BAP to the culture medium favored rooting for this species.

Comparação dos algoritmos máquina de aprendizagem extrema e retropropagação do erro para estimação de altura e volume de árvores; Comparison of extreme learning machine and error backpropagation algorithms to estimate height and volume of trees
Pelli, Eduardo
The use of the learning algorithm for artificial neural networks (ANN) feedforward, named extreme learning machine (ELM), allows the training can be done with better performance than using the traditional methods of learning based on gradient descent both in terms of generali- zation as learning speed. This study analyzes the application of artificial neural networks using the ELM algorithm in problems such as estimate of the height of pine trees, and also in the problem of estimating the volume of wood components, stem and twigs of trees in the Cerrado, consistently. In estimating the height of trees of Pinus artificial neural networks have shown good results in comparison with statistical methods already used for this purpose. As already expected, the extreme learning machine is more efficient from the point of view of computatio- nal costs, in the training of ANNs, in relation to the back-propagation algorithm, keeping the efficacy of the method. In the application of ANNs to the problem of estimating the volume of the components of the Cerrado trees it was verified that artificial neural networks can estimate the volume of components (stem and twigs) of these trees. It was not possible to identify which is the best method to estimate the volume of stem and twigs of trees of the Cerrado consistently, considering that the ANNs were similar to those studied regression models.
