Agrupamento de unidades amostrais de Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze. em função de variáveis do solo, da serapilheira e das acículas, na região de Canela, RS

Abstract

A falta de conhecimentos específicos com respeito aos requisitos silviculturais da araucária motivou o desenvolvimento deste trabalho que teve como principais objetivos o agrupamento de unidades amostrais similares em razão dos fatores físicos e dos nutrientes do solo, das acículas e da serapilheira de um povoamento de Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze. Isso foi realizado mediante a comparação sistemática de uma distância estatística e da obtenção de funções discriminantes que permitiram classificar novas unidades amostrais nos grupos formados, para a Floresta Nacional de Canela (RS). Para tanto, foram utilizadas as técnicas de análise estatística multivariada de Análise de Cluster e Análise Discriminante. Por meio da Análise de Cluster, tomando-se por base uma matriz de doze casos (árvores) por 84 colunas (variáveis), foram obtidos três grupos, sendo estes distintos da classificação natural de sítios. Pela Análise Discriminante, foram determinadas duas funções discriminantes, que tomaram por base oito variáveis brutas, como suficientes para classificar novos indivíduos nos grupos obtidos pela Análise de Cluster.

The lack of specific knowledge with regard to the silvicultural requirements of the Paraná pine motivated the development of this work, that had as main objective the grouping of similar sample units according to the physical factors and to the nutrients of the soil, to the leafs and to the burlap of a stand of Araucaria angustifolia (Bert.) O. Ktze. This was accomplished through the systematic comparison of a statistical distance and through the obtaining of discriminant functions a allowed to classify new sample units in the groups, in the National Forest of Canela, RS. To do so the statistical techniques of multivariate analysis of Cluster and Discriminant Analysis were used. Through the Cluster Analysis, taking as base a head office of 12 cases (trees) for 84 columns (variables), 3 groups were obtained, being the same different from the natural site classification. For the Discriminant Analysis two discriminant functions, were determined taking as base eight rude variables, enough to classify new individuals in the groups obtained by the Cluster Analysis.
