Rentabilidade econômica da produção de Pinus spp. por mesorregião homogênea no estado do Paraná

Abstract

Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a rentabilidade econômica do plantio de Pinus spp. por mesorregião homogênea do estado do Paraná em sistemas de produção manual e mecanizado, bem como considerar cenários distintos de investimento em terra. Os dados foram obtidos por meio da Secretaria da Agricultura e do Abastecimento do Paraná (SEAB), indústrias e empresas reflorestadoras. Os resultados mostraram que ambos os sistemas apresentaram-se viáveis do ponto de vista econômico. Entretanto, quando se realizou o investimento em terra, verificou-se uma redução na taxa interna de retorno (TIR), em função do desembolso necessário para iniciar a atividade. O melhor retorno econômico médio observado foi para o sistema mecanizado sem investimento em terra, com TIR de 22,1% ao ano. Considerando-se o investimento em terra, o melhor retorno observado foi para o sistema mecanizado, com TIR de 12,1%. As mesorregiões tradicionalmente florestais apresentaram TIR superior, devido ao menor valor da terra. Estas são normalmente regiões onde a agricultura não representa a principal atividade econômica, em função das características de solo e relevo. A região Centro-Oriental e Norte Pioneiro apresentaram as maiores TIR desconsiderando a aquisição da terra, com 23,5% e 22,8%, e considerando a aquisição desta, 11,9 e 11,7%, respectivamente, sob o sistema mecanizado. As diferenças existentes entre as rentabilidades para cada mesorregião se devem principalmente ao preço da terra.

This study aimed to analyze the economic profitability of Pinus spp. in the State of Paraná, with mechanized production systems and manual, also considering different scenarios of investment in land. The data were obtained through the Department of Agriculture and Supply of Paraná (SEAB). The results showed that both manual and as mechanized presented themselves viable, when the investment in land was a decrease in the internal rate of return (IRR). The best medium economic return was found for the mechanized system without investing in land, with IRR of 22,1% per year. Considering the investment in land, the best return was found for the mechanized system, with IRR of 12,1% per year. The forest mesoregions traditionally had higher IRR, due to lower land value. There are usually regions where agriculture is not the main activity, according to the characteristics of soil and relief. The Central-East and North Pioneer had the highest IRR not considering the acquisition of land with 23.5% and 22.8% and considering the acquisition of this, under the mechanized system, 11.9 and 11.71% respectively. The differences between the returns for each meso due mainly to the price of land.
