Essa pesquisa teve como objetivo diagnosticar e caracterizar os fatores humanos, as condições de trabalho, saúde, alimentação, treinamento, reciclagem e segurança em marcenarias no Distrito Federal. A coleta dos dados foi feita entre os meses de agosto a dezembro de 2000 por meio de entrevistas. De acordo com os resultados, os trabalhadores tinham em média 08 anos de empresa, sem analfabetos. 58% eram de origem urbana com renda média familiar de R$ 571,30. Para 40% dos trabalhadores a função executada foi considerada medianamente pesada. 35% exerciam a atividade por falta de outras oportunidades na região. 33% já tiveram problemas de saúde originados do trabalho, predominando as dores estomacais, dores de ouvido, alergias, lombalgias e manchas na pele. O consumo de água era em média baixo, em geral 1,25 litros por dia. Apesar de considerarem necessário o treinamento, apenas 26% eram treinados. 90% dos trabalhadores utilizavam os equipamentos de proteção individual necessários. Os maiores causadores de incômodos foram o protetor facial (44%), protetor auricular (34%) e as luvas (22%). 33% dos trabalhadores já sofreram acidentes de trabalho. As principais máquinas causadoras dos acidentes foram a serra circular (50%), a tupia (34%) e a plaina (16%).
This research had as objective to diagnosis and to characterize the human factors, the conditions of work, health, feed, training, recycling and security in activities of carpentry in the Distrito Federal, Brazil. The collection of the data was made by means of interviews. In accordance with the results, the workers of the carpentry had in average 08 years of company, did not exist illiterate. 58% had urban origin, with average income of R$ 571.30. For 40% of the workers the executed function age of physical requirement medium weighed. 35% exerted the activity due to other in the region. 33% already had problems of health originated of the work, predominating stomachal pains, pains of ear, lombalgias and spots in the skin. The workers made in average three meals per day 70% of the companies had environment appropriate for the meals. The water consumption was in average low, in general 1,25 liters per day. Only 26% had received some type of training. The great majority of the workers (90%) used the EPI’s necessary. The.causing greaters of bothering had been the face hold (44%), noise hold (34%) and the gloves (22%). 33% of the workers already had suffered occupational accidents. The main.causing machines of the accidents had been the buzz saw (50%), the tupia (34%) and the planer (16%).
