This article is the product of a planning project to develop recreatlonal activities for Irati National Forest, under management of the Brazilian Institute for Forestry Development (IBDF). A survey analisis of 494 enterviews was made. on the colonial nomogeneous region of Irati. The main results are: 50,8% (251) of the enterviewed use to visit parks; 52,2% had visited Vila Velha (State Park); 53,7% like to walk in nature; 58,1% use to take advantage of weekends and days of; 48,5% had their own ear as a transport, being tn average 27,4 km the distance covered each trip on visit. Each interviewed represents in the study 3 - 4 people; 19,6 had preference for lakes and water reservoirs and 15% for native forest. In forests, 66,6% of the people prefered to walk in the wood; 86% of the enterviewed do not know where Iratí's Flona is located; for 48,6% the national forest represents nothing but, if the Flona will open its door to public visitation 86,8% declared their willingness to visit it, and 62,6% had preference to apreciate nature.
