A educação ambiental na formação do técnico agrícola do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Uberaba-MG

Abstract

Diante dos problemas sócioambientais resultantes da agricultura moderna (erosão e perda de fertilidade dos solos, diminuição e perda da biodiversidade, contaminação dos solos, da água, dos alimentos, efeito estufa e destruição da camada de ozônio e outros), da globalização, da pobreza, das mudanças que ocorrem no mundo do trabalho, tornou- se importante e ne cessária uma reflexão sobre a formação do Técnico Agrícola com habilitação em Agricultura, do ponto de vista ambiental. Este estudo, portanto, foi realizado com o objetivo de analisar como o processo ensino aprendizagem está sendo realizado, no que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento de uma consciência ambiental, enfatizando o módulo de Silvicultura do Curso Técnico Agrícola com habilitação em Agricultura. Assim, através da aplicação de formulários a alunos e um professor do módulo de silvicultura e aos professores dos módulos pré-requisitos ao de silvicultura, procurou-se identificar como é tratada a questão da educação ambiental, como é realizado o trabalho interdisciplinar pelo professor, e se os alunos desenvolvem uma consciência ética ambiental, para a construção de uma sociedade sustentável. A análise dos dados deixou clara que a consciência ética ambiental entendida como essência do ato educativo, como o cerne da competência dos professores, principalmente daqueles que tratam de algo tão valioso como a natureza, não está claramente expressa nas informações prestadas por alunos e professores. Neste contexto, parte-se de que, para a formação do Técnico Agrícola consciente e apto para atuar na realidade sócioambiental de um modo responsável é necessário que, além de transmissão de conhecimentos, a escola se proponha a trabalhar uma nova ética na relação sociedade- natureza, garantindo a formação de cidadãos, conhecedores dos problemas da sociedade brasileira, nos aspectos econômicos, políticos, sociais, culturais e ambientais.

Facing the social-environmental problems resulting from the modern agriculture (erosion, and fertility loss of the soil, reduction and loss of the biodiversity, soil water, food contamination, efeito estufa and destruction of the ozone lay and other), the globalization, the poverty, the change that happen in the world of work, a refection about the formation of the Agricultural Technician with qualification in Agriculture has become important and necessary, through the environmental point of view. This study, hence, was accomplished with the objective of analyzing how the teaching- learning process has been accomplished, regarding to the development of an environmental conscience, emphasizing the module of Silviculture of the Agricultural Technical Agricultural Course with qualification in Agriculture. Then, through the application of forms to students and a teacher of the silviculture module and the teachers of the pre- requisite modules to the silvicuture, it was attempted to identify how the matter of environmental education is treated, how the inter-discipline work is accomplished by the teacher, and if the students develop an ethical environmental conscience, for the construction of a sustainable society. The data analysis made clear that the ethical environmental conscience understood as the essence of the educative act, as the core of the competence of the teachers, mainly the ones who deal with such a worthy thing as the nature, is not clearly expressed in the information given by students and teachers. In this context, it is understood that, for the formation of the conscious Agricultural Technician and apt to act in the social-environmental reality in a responsible way, it is necessary that, beyond the knowledge transmission, the school proposes to work a new ethic in the relation society-nature, guaranteeing the formation of citizens, knowing the problems of the Brazilian society, in the economical, political, social, cultural and environmental aspects.
